GriefShare is a welcoming support group for people grieving the death of a family member or friend.

Each meeting combines guidance from grief experts, along with honest conversations and encouragement from others who understand what you’re going through.

There’s no pressure to have the right words or to “move on.” Instead, you’ll find a safe place to share your story (when/if you’re ready), listen when you need to, ask questions, and discover timely tools that can help you navigate life after loss—one step at a time.

Whether your loss is recent or happened years ago, GriefShare is here to walk alongside you as you find hope for the road ahead.

Upcoming Sessions

GriefShare Surviving the Holidays

There will be a special GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays session on Sunday, November 15th from 2pm-4pm in the Music Suite facilitated by Charlie Udriet (804) 291-6873. The holidays often come wrapped in lights, music, and celebration—but if you’re grieving the death of a loved one, this season can feel overwhelming, isolating, and painfully different. In fact, it may feel impossible to face this season, or maybe you’re wishing you could just hibernate until January. Join us: Sunday, November 15th from 2pm-4pm in the Music Suite for encouragement, support, and the comfort in knowing you are not alone.

Concert of Remembrance: November 22nd 3pm in the Sanctuary

The Concert of Remembrance is a comforting, uplifting, and encouraging service to help those who have lost loved ones cope during the holiday season. The service includes songs of faith and comfort presented by some of FCC’s wonderful voices, a pictorial tribute to those who have passed away, and an optional fellowship time where you can view the pictorial tribute up close while enjoying refreshments. To participate in the tribute, email photos of your loved one to info@fairmountcc.org or bring a photo to the church office to be scanned and returned to you by November 16th. If you have submitted photos in the past, call or email the church office to let them know you would like your loved one to be included again. If you know of a neighbor, friend, or relative that has lost someone, please encourage them to join you for this special event.
